Dancehall Diva born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng but popularly known as Ebony Reigns has revealed that whenever she is given a chance to choose between music and education, she will go for music.

The ‘Poison’ hit maker, in an interview with the Daily Heritage,  threw light on her music career and her level of education, saying music comes first in her life.

“Education is important but I will choose music over education. One can flourish in life irrespective of his/her level of education. Though I did not complete Senior High School, I am intelligent and talented. If I work hard, I will be a great musician.

“I have plans to further my education but for now, music can give me everything I need in life. Music is my life,” she said.

According to Ebony, her journey into the showbiz industry has been smooth since she burst into the limelight in 2015.

“It’s been two years since I released my first single ‘Dance Floor’. Musically, I have never been confronted with any challenge. Though my support comes from God, family, manager and friends, most importantly, I was well prepared,” she said.

Her versatility has made her an icon and a household name on both radio and TV. Recently, the 22-year-old celebrated her birthday at the Bays Lodge & Apartments in a grand style with ace broadcaster Abeiku Aggrey Santana of Okay FM.

The super-talented songstress has had the opportunity to collaborate with top music acts such as VVIP, Mugeez of R2bees and Ruff n Smooth.

Ebony Reigns was nominated in the Unsung Category of last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
