Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, says he has no regrets over exposing the face of murdered member of the Tiger Eye PI team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

The legislator said neither does he regret making threatening comments against the deceased investigative journalist.

“I don’t regret making any comment on Ahmed and showing his face,” the controversial lawmaker told Accra-based Asempa FM on Thursday.

“What I said was that if he comes to my premises, they should beat him and so if he has been killed, why would they accuse me of killing him?”

Ahmed, who is a member of Anas’ Tiger Eye PI team, was found dead in his car on Wednesday night, after he was shot by unknown assailants while driving.

The deceased was reportedly shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck by gunmen on motorbike around Madina in Accra.

Moments after his death, Anas took to social media to post a video of Mr. Agyapong aiming threats at the deceased.

This sparked a huge uproar on social media, with some suggesting the investigative reporter wants to link the MP to the murder.

But responding to this, Mr. Agyapong said he has nothing to do with the murder, adding that he is ready to avail himself for any investigation.

According to the Assin Central MP, his hands are clean and would go every length to clear his name.
