Since the spotlight fell on him some seven years ago after the release of his hit single Baby, rapper Sarkodie has been consistent by churning out hit upon hit and he attributes this feat to not dwelling on his past glories.

The Adonai hitmaker who has risen to become one of the biggest crowd pulling artistes in recent times believes his desire to improve upon previous works has resulted in him still remaining relevant.

“I don’t rely on my previous hits but always want to give my fans the best of myself with anything i bring out.I guess that explains the reason I have been around all this while” Sarkodie told Showbiz in an interview last week.

He explained that to be constistent and relevant, a musician should not be satisfied with his previous achievemnts but work harder to drop more great songs.

“Nigerians also enjoy our music just as we do theirs but the difference is that, the Nigerian government invest heavily in their entertainment industry which is the reason they are all over the place but I don’t believe they are better than us” Sarkodie.
