Two and a half years ago, Christopher Antwi-Adjei relocated to the Oberliga Westfalen with TSG Sprockhövel.

Now the native of Hagen is a freshly baked international the celebrated 25-year-old, who joined SC Paderbon in the summer of 2017 , on Monday made his debut for Ghana's senior team the Black Stars.

Antwi-Adjei came on in the 72nd minute for Samuel Owusu in the Black Stars' 1-0 victory over Sao Tomé and Principe.

It was a very special moment for the SCP crowd pleaser. "Being called up was a dream, but then actually playing is the ultimate dream," says the man nicknamed "Jimmy" .

Even as a child, he had dreamed of playing for the Black Stars someday.

Jimmy raves about prayers and songs but his first international match had been quite stressful.

And what he saw he was obviously impressed a lot. "Many things are really fascinating," Antwi-Adjei explains, citing the common prayers of the Black Stars as an example. "It's a good thing, because it's all about having a common goal," the 25-year-old says, adding, "I also like the singing together on the bus and in the cab." that singing brings a lot of energy to the team. "

And then there is the support of the fans. "The support is incredible and crazy," emphasizes Antwi-Adjei, whose team got off to a perfect start to qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup finals with their two- victories.

Christopher Antwi-Agyei the International debutant arrived in Paderbon on Wednesday and will hope to be counted on during tonight's Bundesliga game against Dortmund.
