Ghanaian youngster Najeeb Yakubu has express his desire to write his name in the folklore of Ukrainian top-flight club FC Vorskla Poltava after signing a contract extension with the club.

The former Ghana Under 17 defender signed a new four-year deal with Vorskla on Tuesday September 29, 2020 following an impressive start to the 2020-21 season.

Moment after signing the new deal, the 21-year old took to his Facebook page to express his delight, stating his desire to help the club attain greatness.

“It was all about playing 100% for the club,”Yakubu wrote.

“I dream of being here to be part of the family, among the best and m to give out my best and staying in the heart of the fans forever.

“ I want to be part of the legends of this club, helping the club to achieve it goals and winning trophies to live a legacy,” the versatile defender added.

Najeeb Yakubu joined Vorskla Poltava in 2018 on an initial three-year contract.

He was a member of the Ghana Under 17 national team, the Black Starlets that made it to the quarter final of the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in India.
