Ghana international Ibrahim Osman expressed his joy after making his debut in the UEFA Champions League, playing a crucial role in Feyenoord's 3-2 victory over Spanish outfit Girona on Wednesday night at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi.

Starting the match, Osman played 61 minutes, contributing significantly to the team’s performance.

He recorded 22 touches, including four inside the opposition's box, showcasing his attacking prowess.

His dribbling skills were evident as he completed three out of four dribbles, while his defensive contributions were notable, winning eight duels, including seven ground duels.

After the match, the talented winger took to social media to share his excitement about his Champions League debut, posting, “Champions League debut and plus three points. Proud moment for me and my family. Thank you all.”

The match itself was a rollercoaster, with Girona initially taking the lead in the 19th minute through David Lopez. However, Feyenoord quickly equalized with an own goal from Yangel Herrera in the 23rd minute.

The Dutch side then took the lead in the 33rd minute with a goal from Antoni Milambo, but Girona leveled the score again in the 73rd minute through Donny van de Beek.

In a dramatic turn of events, Feyenoord clinched victory late in the game when Ladislav Krejci scored another own goal, securing the win for the visitors.

Osman, who is on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, has quickly made a name for himself since his professional debut with FC Nordsjaelland in February 2023.

His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, and he is expected to be included in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.
