Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman played a starring role in AZ Alkmaar's emphatic 9-1 victory over Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie, contributing a goal and two assists in the dominant performance on Saturday.

Osman, who has been in scintillating form this season, made his fifth league appearance for AZ and was pivotal in their resounding win.

The former Ghana U17 winger set up two of Troy Parrott’s four goals before adding his own name to the scoresheet with a well-taken strike in the 72nd minute.

AZ Alkmaar took control of the game early when Sven Mijnans opened the scoring just four minutes in, but Heerenveen quickly responded with a 19th-minute equalizer from Luuk Brouwers.

From there, it was all AZ as Troy Parrott went on a rampage, netting four goals in just 33 minutes to put the match beyond Heerenveen's reach.

Further goals from Sadiq, Mexx Meerdink, Kristijan Belic, and Zico Buurmeester sealed a dominant victory for the former Dutch champions.

Osman's contribution did not go unnoticed, as his precise assists and goal underscored his growing importance to the team.

His dazzling form has been a highlight of AZ Alkmaar's season, and his combination play with Parrott proved lethal in this match.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Jayden Addai also featured, coming on to replace Sadiq with 15 minutes remaining, while Dutch-Ghanaian goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro completed the full 90 minutes for AZ in a match they will remember for a long time.
