Real Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu made his debut for the Black Stars of Ghana in the just ended 2021 Afcon qualifier double header.

The defensive midfielder made his maiden appearance for the Black Stars in the home fixture against South Africa on Thursday 14th November 2019.

During time added on in the  game against South Africa, the defensive midfielder sustained an injury spraining his ankle.

After that knock the midfielder was attended to by Ghana's medical team and was passed fit to play in the second qualifier against islanders Sao Tome and Principe some four days later.

Ghana played against the African minnows in Sao Tome in a match which the Black Stars won by a lone goal after Jordan Ayew converted a 48th minute penalty to give the Black Stars all three points.

In the match against Sao Tome the defensive midfielder during added on time complained of a hamstring issue and was replaced by Jospeh Attamah Larweh.

His club Real Mallorca are  frantically conducting test to know the severity of the injury, both the ankle and the back of the left thigh.
