Former Ghana FA boss Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has questioned why German trainer Bernhard Lippert is still at post as Ghana's Technical Director after the sacking of C.K Akonnor.

He says that the German was offering technical advise to sacked Black Stars coach C.K Akonnor and if his advise led to the sacking of Akonnor he should also be shown the exit.

“I would have fired him [Lippert] immediately because it is his advise that led CK [Akonnor] into this sort of situation in which he is unless CK ignores some of the advises he gives. But if CK listens to him carefully then some of the technical advises he has been given is totally rubbish and that led us to this sort of situation we find ourselves so if CK is gone, he should follow him,” he said in an interview with Metro TV.

The German trainer has come under a barrage of attacks following the departure of C.K Akonnor as he has been blamed for imposing players on Akonnor

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association terminated the appointment of Black Stars Coach Charles Akonnor and his two Assistants on Monday.

This follows the team's poor showing in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers where Ghana struggled with a limp win against Ethiopia before losing to South Africa in Johannesburg.

Lippert, a GFA pet project has failed to make any inroads since Oti Akenteng was axed for him to take over with very little impact seen aside meddling in the affairs of the Black Stars.

He recommended two German based players Daniel Kofi Kyereh and Braydon Manu who play in the lower tier German league in the recent World Cup qualifier double header.

With Braydon Manu revealing that he did not merit the Black Stars call up and thought it was a scam when he was told.
