The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says that members of his government who are caught in any acts of corruption will be sanctioned.

According to the President any member of his government found culpable of corruption would have his/her appointment terminated.

Speaking after a meeting with the chiefs of the Dodze traditional council he stressed that If investigations by appropriate bodies find any person culpable appropraite sanctions would be taken against that person.

The Akufo led government has come under severe criticism for not dealing adequately with corruption as he spoke loudly about it whiles in opposition with the President earning the nickname 'clearing agent'.

The President says that mere corruption allegations is not enough to prosecute anyone as the relevant bodies must conduct investigations.

"I'm not going to shield anyone when it comes to this fight of corruption that will be a denial of my oath of office I should rather be the one to act that is what I'm trying to do to make sure that proper bodies can investigation the allegations."

"We can't be in a situations where allegations are just made condemning people that one is not right" he emphasized.
