Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says that it will be scandalous If the Black Stars of Ghana fail to qualify from their group in the 2022 World Cup qualifier.

Ghana is in Group G alongside minnows Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and South Africa who are rebuilding their team but after two matches its the rainbow nation who are leading the pack with four points while Ghana and Ethiopia are tied on 3 points apiece.

The Black Stars of Ghana qualified for the World Cup on three occasions with the first time being in 2006 and then in 2010 and in 2014.

Ghana failed to show up at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and are primed to book their place in Qatar but will have to up their game.

Speaking in an interview with Ahomka FM, the former Udinese midfielder thinks that it will be a disaster If Ghana fails to top the group as we a better team compared to others.

"It will be a disaster if we don't qualify from our group because none of the countries can be compared to Ghana in terms of individual players, so we don't have any option than to qualify," he said.
