Head coach of the National U-20 team, Karim Zito says that he has never taken monies as bribes from players nor their agents in order to hand them invitation to the team.

Many a times allegations of bribery have been leveled against coaches who handle the various under age national teams with many accusing them of favouritism and also auctioning the national team to the highest bidder.

In Ghana's run up to the AFCON U-20 tournament in Mauritania which Ghana emerged as winners, a lot of allegations were leveled against the handlers of the national team something which they vehemently denied.

Speaking in an interview with Oyerepa FM, head coach of the Black Satellites, Karim Zito says he has never taken any monies as bribes from players nor their agents for call ups.


“I will urge everyone, that is the footballers, their agents and managers of players to report any individual who assures them and their clients of a national team call-up in exchange of money to the police for immediate actions to be taken as soon as possible because such monies doesn’t come to me”, he continued.

“I have never taken money or received any from any player agency and would urge anyone who has paid money to anyone in my name and hoping of a national team call-up for their players should go to the people or the person they paid said monies to because I am innocent and will never take bribe “, he added

35 players have been invited to begin camping at Prampram for the WAFU U-20 and African Youth Championship next year.
