Dutch born Ghanaian international Jeremie Frimpong has been turning heads with his splendid performance in Scotland for Celtic.

His manager Neil Lennon has been full of praise for the 18 year old who has forced himself into the first team reckoning.

The youngster who joined the bhoys from Manchester city for a nominal fee was supposed to play with the youth side but has forced his way into manger Neil Lennon's plans.

Kirstoffer Ajer teammate of the youngster says he was convinced of the defender's qualities the first day he saw him in the dressing room.

The Scandinavian said: “Jeremie has been fantastic since he came in the summer.

“Since the first training session he has proven himself as a top talent.

“The way he is training and working every day is to get better and better and you can see it in the games.

“He’s a really fantastic talent.

“You can see with the way he is playing consistently that it’s not just a one-off.

“It’s there every single time and that’s just incredible.”

Frimpong produced a man-of-the-match showing in the weekend win over Livingston to further elevate his growing status.
