Ghanaian youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi scored his first ever senior goal for Crystal Palace in their preseason friendly game against Charlton Athletic at the Selhurst Park.

The youngster who has been promoted to the first team after being on the fringes last season under Roy Hogdson showed the stuff he is made off.

Palace started the better of the two teams with Riedewald and another Ghanaian youngster Boateng combining beautifully in the early exchanges of the game.

It did not take long before Rak-Sakyi scored undoubtedly one of the easiest goals he will ever score when he closed down the Charlton goalie and blocked his clearance into the back of the net in the 15th minute.

Charlton pulled parity in the 38th minute after a controversial corner was given and it went all the way into the six yard box low, where Stockley bundled it past a very annoyed Jack Butland.

Andre Ayew who started was a nuisance for the Charlton defence as he was fouled several times but was taken off after halftime with Jeffrey Schlupp among the second half inclusions.

Bankd scored the second goal for Palace after a defensive mishap from Charlton in the 75th minute of the game before Davidson equalized in the 82nd minute.
