German born Ghanaian International John Yeboah scored for his on loan club VV Venlo in their Eredivisie game against Groningen on Saturday.

The German youth international who began his playing career with the Wolfsburg youth team but on a loan spell in the Netherlands opened  the scores 12 minute but Adjin Hrustic pulled parity for the away side in the 44th minute.

The home side who controlled much of the game in the second half went for the kill going all guns blazing with their gung ho approach paying dividends as with 6 minutes to end proceedings Evert Linthorst struck what proved to be the winner for the home side to make sure of all three points.

Yeboah could not go the full throttle as he made way for Damian Van Bruggen in the 80th minute after giving a good account of himself.

VV Venlo lie 9th on the Eredivisie table after 6 games played so far in the competition and will next play Williem II away.

John Yeboah was born in Germany to a Ghanaian and German parent and has represented Germany at almost all under age teams but is eligible to play for Ghana.
