Crystal Palace Deadline day signing Jordan Ayew is relishing the season ahead with the Eagles.

The Ghanaian international made the move from Liberty Stadium to Selhurst Park on a season-long loan, having been linked with both Palace and Fulham over the summer.

Ayew feels this was the right move to return to the Premier League and is relishing the challenge ahead.

"I am coming into this season and here at Palace because it was a good option for me, that's why I chose to come to Palace to continue improving," he said.

"It is another step for me and I am ready for the challenge, and ready to get to where I think I can get to.

"And with the manager, I think I can get to where I want to.

"I know he wants to use me up front to create and make things happen, so we will see”

Beginning his career with Marseille, Ayew was a part of the squad that won the Ligue 1 title in 2010 as well as three successive League Cups, and would also have spells with Sochaux and Lorient before arriving in England at Villa in 2015.
