Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil has revealed how difficult life was under former KRC Genk head coach Felice Mazzu.

The 21-year old was nowhere close to s3lectikn under Felice Mazzu, but has become a regular feature since Hannes Wolf took over the helm of the Belgian top flight side.

Paintsil has already played two games as a starter to bring to an end a difficult period of not being considered for selection.

And Speaking for the first time since the departure of Mazzu, the former Tema Youth Attacker stated that life was very hard for him.

"Mazzu never told me why I no longer belonged to the selection", Paintsil said.

"He didn't have to do that either. A trainer makes his decision in good conscience, I have to accept that.

"But it was very hard, especially on a mental level. If you don't play for nearly two months, it will do something to you ", the striker added.

Paintsil has so far played twelve(12) games in all competitions for Genk scoring just a goal.
