Furious Supporters of Asante Kotoko attacked a journalist a few hours to their Premier League clash against Medeama SC at the Baba yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The journalist who is said to be a reporter for Kumasi-based SOLID FM was brutally assaulted by the vicious home fans after filming Kotoko's players coming off the team bus on their arrival to the stadium ahead of the game.

The unsavory incident happened in front of the Mixed Zone where a team bus is allowed to park to let players come off to their designated dressing room.

According to the kumasi journalist popularly known as Foster Barsious, he was almost “killed” when receiving scores of slaps from the tirading home fans only for the intervention of a police man who helped him (Foster)to get out of the scene but surprisingly there were other security men looking unconcern about the incident._

Reports indicate that, the attack by the irate Porcupine Warriors fans is perceived to be a retaliation from the ordeal they suffered at of the Medeama fans when they visited the T&A Park on match day 6 of the first round._

Asante Kotoko ended their winless streak in their last five Premier League meetings with Medeama SC after defeating the Yellow and Mauves 3-1 in the 20th fixture of the 2016/17 league campaign.
