Jubilee House explains why Sammy Gyamfi was arrested

The Communications Directorate of the Jubilee House says the arrest of the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi was not borne out of revenge or malice.

The CID is investigating Mr. Gyamfi for cybercrime following a formal report filed by Nana Asante-Bediatuo. The NDC communicator was picked up by security officials after a discussion on UTV Monday.

He was granted bail after several hours of interrogation.

In a statement, the presidency said the complaint was filed because there is the need to protect the integrity of statements that emanate from the office of the secretary to the president.
