Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa West constituency and Central Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa Doe, has passed on at the age of 71 years after suffering from a protracted ailment.

A family source has confirmed that the tough talking former NDC stalwart died in the early hours of Sunday 19th September,2021 at Tema where she was receiving medical care.

 The vociferous politician served as National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP from 1992 to 2004.

Ama Benyiwa Doe was the Member of Parliament for Gamoa West Constituency from January 7, 1993 to January 7 2005.

She was appointed the Central Regional Minister under late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills regime.

She was a member of the Pan-African Parliament.

Ama Benyiwa Doe attended L.A Middle School and later obtained GCE Ordinary Level certificate.
She then proceeded to Accra Workers College where she obtained her GCE Advance Level certificate before advancing to M.I Kaliun School where she obtained a Diploma.

Members of NDC have started pouring tribute on social media about her unfortunate demise.
