Asante Kotoko have reportedly extended a two-year contract offer to experienced midfielder Justice Blay, according to local media sources.

Blay, who solidified his place in the Porcupine Warriors' lineup after joining on a permanent basis from Medeama in 2022, first made a name for himself during a standout loan spell in the 2019/2020 season.

His commanding performances during that period earned him the admiration of the Kotoko fanbase.

Known for his robust and tenacious playing style, the 32-year-old has become an integral part of the Kotoko squad. With his current contract set to expire in January 2025, the club is eager to secure his services for an extended period.

Reports suggest that Asante Kotoko are making significant efforts to retain Blay, who has proven to be one of their most dependable players.

His ability to adapt and contribute across multiple positions has provided coach Prosper Narteh Ogum with valuable tactical flexibility, making Blay a crucial component of the team's strategy.

However, despite the extension offer, Blay has not yet committed to a new deal and is said to be carefully considering his options.

So far this season, the former Medeama star has made seven appearances in the Ghana Premier League after 10 rounds of matches, underscoring his continued importance to the club.
