Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana was integral as his Rennes side welcomed moneybags Paris Saint Germain(PSG) to the Rhoazon Park  on Sunday afternoon in their French Ligue 1 clash.

He helped Rennes beat a star studded PSG side that had Neymar, Messi and Kylian Mbappe all in the team.

The young exuberant Stade Rennes side defeated PSG by 2-0 in an entertaining game that was action packed for 90 minutes.

Kamaldeen Sulemana who snubbed Ajax for Rennes in the summer has been thriving in the French Ligue 1 and provided the assist for the game's opener on the stroke of half time when he set up Gaetan Laborde in the 45th minute to make it 1-0.

He hoisted a cross into the box which was collected by Laborde who crushed a shot into the bottom corner to leave PSG goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma stranded.

Prior to today's defeat the Parisians had won all their eight matches in the French Ligue 1 but they were upended by a spirited youthful Rennes side.

After recess, Stade Rennes added the seco0md goal through Flavien Tait who blazed a volley into the back of the net to grab the second goal.

Rennes will play two games on the road on a trot to Metz in the French Ligue 1 and Mura in the European Conference League all after the International Break.

He has so far scored three goals while providing one assists so far in nine matches in the French Ligue 1 this season after joining from FC Nordsjaelland.

Kamaldeen Sulemana will join the Black Stars to prepare for  Zimbabwe in the 2022 World Cup Qualifier in Cape Coast and Harare respectively.
