Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng was on target in Eintracht Frankfurt's 2-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday in the Bundesliga.

He fired home from close-range on the stroke of half time to give Frankfurt the lead after latching unto a beautiful pass from Timothy Chandler.

The former A.C Milan midfielder's 43rd minute strike takes his tally to 4 goals in the league this season.

Boateng turned villain in the 76th minute when he conceded a penalty after a clear trip on a Gladbach player in the box.

Thorgan Hazard however could not convert the resulting penalty as he smashed the ball against the crossbar.

Substitute Luka Jovic put the result beyond doubt for the Eagles in stoppage time, slamming home past a helpless goalkeeper to snatch all three points from the Commerzbank-Arena.

The crucial victory meant that Frankfurt climb to second place on the league standings in the Germany top-divion after 20 matches with 33 points.
