Award-winning artiste, Dennis Nana Dwamena, known in showbiz as KIDI, has revealed that the secret behind his success is God.

According to him, the favour of God is on him, hence, the success of his music career.

Speaking on the Class Drive on Class 91.3FM hosted by Prince Benjamin, the ‘Odo’ hit singer said: “My success is due to the favour of God, the favour of God and the favour of God.”

He added: “There is no set-down rule or formula that if I do this song, it will be a hit. You go into the studio and you sing out your feelings and just leave the rest to God. Just be honest and just be authentic in what you are singing and let people know that you are being real and just leave the rest to God.”

His song ‘Odo’ won the highlife song of the year during the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards recently.

Commenting on how the Ghanaian public treated his colleague artiste, King Promise, who did not win any award during the event, KIDI said: “I saw what people were doing [to] him and I just tweeted at him that he was a winner.

“He is a winner, whether you like it or not. Every Ghanaian out there likes King Promise, we all love him, and he has done an amazing thing, so, we shouldn’t try to tease him or try to belittle him to dampen his spirit because he didn’t win an award.

“It is good to have an award, it is nice but the dream is still bigger than just an award, and, so, King Promise is a winner forever.”
