Kumasi Asante Kotoko caretaker coach Micheal Osei, is set to take part in a knowledge-sharing programme with Liverpool's coaching staff, thanks to his friendship with Jurgen Klopp.

The Porcupines signed a partnership agreement with English side Sunderland in 2011 under the leadership of KK Sarpong, with the Black Cats offering advice and support on coaching and player development.

Kotoko will now benefit from Liverpool's coaching wisdom, according to reports,Osei is keen to refresh his managerial skills and has called in a favour from former Mainz team-mate Klopp.

Micheal Micky Osei, who was appointed assistant manager of Asante Kotoko  after his boss David Duncan was said to step aside by Opoku Nti led management, is now in charge in the absence of a permanent manager.

The 45-year-old will be aiming to soak up Klopp's knowledge as he prepares for the 2016/17 Ghana premier league campaign.

The duo shared the same dressing room during their time with Mainz 05 in Germany.

Asante Kotoko finished  fifth spot in the just ended Ghana Premier League.
