Nzema based football club Nzema Kotoko head coach Mallam Yahaya has accused Asante Kotoko management of not allowing Micheal Osei to do his job as head coach of Asante kotoko football club.

The former Ghana international midfielder who once coached Kumasi King Faisal, Tamale All Stars before joining Division one Club Nzema Kotoko, said Michael Osei should be given free hand to Operate as acting head coach of the club.

The Porcupine Warriors are yet to record a win in the second round of the League. Coach Michael Osei and his charges have been able to pick just 2 points in their last five games.

The Reds, having had a decent first round are struggling to maintain their momentum in the League. The former Ghanaian Champions are fifth on the League table with 33 points.

Speaking to Onua Sports Mallam Yahaya noted that Michael Osei garnered a lot of experience when he started his coaching career with Edubiase as Assistant coach and later joined Kumasi Asante kotoko as an associate coach.

The former Borussia Dortmund attacker added that Micheal Osei is being manipulated by the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, making it difficult for him to be seen as a good coach.

“I’m 100 percent sure that is what is going on in the Porcupine club, because Michael Osei does not appear to be himself when you watch him from afar, I know him and I know that if he is given the liberty, he will deliver the gold for the Ashanti club. I believe you know Michael is a quiet person, and as a coach you have to be active,” Coach Yahaya posited.

The porcupine warriors will play against Dreams FC in the Ghana premier league at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.
