Asante Kotoko travel to Kenya for their CAF Confederation Cup game with a big doubt hanging over the head of star striker Yacouba Songne.

The Porcupine Warriors are scheduled to face Kariobangi Sharks in the first leg on Saturday with the second fixture slated for the Baba Yara Stadium on December 22, 2018.

The goal poacher fell sick whiles on holidays in his home country, Burkina Faso, and has been on treatment since arriving in Kumasi a fortnight ago.

Although the 26-year-old made a second-half cameo in Kotoko’s 3-0 victory over Black Meteors coming on for Naby Keita.

Head Coach C.K Akunnor insists the Burkinabe import will need at least two weeks to return to full fitness.

“He was sick, he is just coming back. I believe in two weeks time he will be 100%. As at now, he is not there yet. Small small he will get there” Akonnor told the media after their game against the National under 23 side.
