Kumasi Asante Kotoko will move to the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua after going through their final COVID-19 test on Saturday.

The team will be in Koforidua for three weeks where they will prepare for the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season which begins next month.

Kotoko will also be involved in the CAF Champions League for the coming season.

Speaking in an interview, Communications Director of the club Moses Antwi Benefo revealed training has been going on well so far but they hope to take it a notch up at their training camp.

"On the field ,training has been well for us as a club and we look forward to catch up before our first game in Africa" he told Alpha Radio in Kumasi.

"The necessary equipment arrived today and work commences tomorrow since time is not on our side

We will have COVID-19 test on Saturday 3rd October,2020 before we embark on a trip to Koforidua to pitch camp there for 3 weeks"

He also disclosed that the club is in talks with quality players and when things are concluded it will be made official.

"Negotiations are ongoing with good and quality players so we can't single out names but we will come out to announce our signings when is official" he added.
