Krif Ghana Limited has announced a new sales promotion for it's new Fireproof and Burglar proof safes, advising Ghanaians on the importance of the device to households and companies.

It comes at a time there is wild anxiety over the country's over reliance and effectiveness of the Ghana Fire Service.

The Fireproof and Burglar proof safe from krif has safe design to protect paper records and other valuable documents from heat damage due to exposure to fire.

Speaking about the exclusive promotion for the device,
Executive Chairman, of Leif Ghana Limited Rev Kennedy Okosun admonished instutions an offices to took a second look at emergencies of fire protection and burglaries.

"Current safety challenges require we take safety precaution to the next level," he said.
"Fire fighting must come with a modern art of equipment which are result-oriented.

"The Ghana Fire Service is important in this course but our over -reliance on it is not the best.
"But having such a device installed in the offices and homes comes with enormous advantage.

"It has a perfect combination of protection against burglars and fire.
If all offices should have this kind of fireproof and Burglar proof equipment, a greater percentage of our losses to fire would have been minimized."

His call comes in the wake of Monday's fire outbreak at shops at the Makola market of which the Ghana Fire service have been blamed for doing little to avert the situation.

In 2019 the GFS reported that the country lost about GH¢19 million to fire outbreaks between January and September.

From statistics made available by the service, the fire incidents also claimed 271 lives and left 1,714 persons with varying degrees of injury.

It categorised the fire outbreaks into domestic, industrial, vehicular, institutional, electrical, commercial and bushfire.

Fires from commercial establishments topped with 658 cases in the period under review.
In the first quarter of 2020, 267 fire outbreaks were registered in the Greater Accra region of Ghana alone. Domestic fires were the most prevalent origin of the outbreaks. Moreover, the spread of fire through electrical installations reached 48 cases in total.

While a joint Ghana/ UK reports indicate the first quarter of 2021 has seen rising cases of burglaries in offices and areas used by the international community living overseas, including Airport Residential, Cantonments, Ridge and Kokrobite.

However reverend Okusun believe such cases could be minimized if Companies will remain proactive with the necessary equipment in place.

He said Krif's burglar-proof and fireproof safes are very effective in various fire protection classes combined with different anti-burglary protection classes to suit a specific needs and requirements of companies and individuals.
