News about the nomination of former Member of Parliament for Bantama, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, to the Transport Ministry has been met with excitement by a group of market women at the Kumasi Central Market.
Members of the Central Market Women Association (CMWA) are excited over the reports, describing it as a perfect choice.
In reaction to the reports, they have declared their readiness to even reduce prices of their goods to show appreciation to the NPP and President-elect for the honour.
According to them, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah has the competence and the experience to occupy the position, having served diligently in the previous NPP administration under former President Kufuor.
They observed in a statement signed by the association’s Queenmother, Maame Abrafi Mensah, that they believe Mrs. Abena Dapaah will diligently execute the job to the honour of women in the country.
