Kumbungu constituency ditches Ras Mubarak

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kumbungu constituency Ras Mubarak has lost in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.
The current MP for the constituency in the Northern region will not be representing the party in the 2020 election after losing to Dr Hamza Adams.
Provisional results from Saturday's election indicates the ace journalist lost by over 100 votes.
He polled 273 votes as against Dr Adam's 401 vote. A third candidate called Baba polled 81 votes.
The Kumbungu constituency is one of the strongholds of the NDC
Ras Mubarak first enteredP in 2013.
