Kuwait still eyes workers from Ghana despite harsh treatment

Kuwait has expressed interest to recruit more  Ghanaians workers to the Gulf city as part of moves to tighten bilateral relationship 

The Kuwaiti Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower Ahmad Al-Moussa revealed this when he met  with deputy head of Ghana’s diplomatic mission on Wednesday.

Moussa said they discussed the mechanism of organizing the recruitment process for employers in the field of construction, agricultural activity and domestic employment.

He expressed his happiness at this meeting, assuring the authority is fully prepared to cooperate with those involved in the recruitment of labor from Ghana.

The Ghanaian official praised the excellent relationship between Kuwait and Ghana, thanking Kuwait for its services to his country.

In 2017, Ghana announced the establishment of a diplomatic mission in Kuwait following reports of maltreatment of Ghanaians.

The move was as a measure of checking the maltreatment of Ghanaians in the Gulf region.

In January 2018,Ghana opened its  first Embassy in  Kuwait to enrich diplomatic relations.
