Residents of Kwahu Pepease heaved a huge sigh of relief after the the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu East, Hon. Isaac Agyapong commissioned a state of the art Out Patient Department (OPD) block and also a modern medical laboratory at the Kwahu –Pepease Health Centre.

The centre will provide health care for the people of Kwahu-Pepease, residents of adjourning and surrounding villages.

The renovation and reconstruction works was financed by the benevolence of Mr Ofori Ntim CEO of Fon Industries Ghana Limited, Dr. William Ofori Ntim and family of Kwahu Pepease and a US based NGO Give Hope Foundation.

In his speech, the DCE stated the renovation of the OPD and laboratory is to address the infrastructural deficit as well as enhance the quality of healthcare delivery in the area.

He underlined his outfit’s vision of helping bridge and improving the infrastructural gap currently facing the District especially in areas pf health and education.

According to the DCE, prominent on the assemblies list of priorities is to ensure that basic social amenities including education and healthcare is adequately catered for hence the need to undertake such laudable projects.

The DCE applauded the efforts of the persons and bodies who helped in giving the facility a major facelift while admonishing residents of Kwahu-Pepease living in Ghana and abroad to cast their eyes back home and help improve infrastructure and basic amenities since Government alone cannot carry the burden.

Dr Ofori Ntim on his part urged management of the facility to take very good care of the centre while encouraging indigenes of Kwahu-Pepease to emulate such fate.
