A leading candidate in the Ghana FA presidential elections Fred Pappoe has described the job been done by Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah as under par.

According to him expectations of Ghanaians are very high with regards to the Black Stars but the gaffer has done very little to meet the levelof expectations but stops short to add that his performance may be due to

"To the extent that Ghanaians expect to win every game they play, [Black Stars coach] Kwesi Appiah has fallen below the standards expected."

I also think that the circumstances Kwesi Appiah is working under need to be looked at. All the same, I believe he still has a lot more to offer the Black Stars" he added.

There were deafening calls for the Black Stars trainer to be sacked after the team's disappointing round of 16 exit to Tunisia at the Afcon in Egypt.
