Ghanaian striker Kwasi Okyere Wreidt has sealed a transfer move to lower tier German side Holstein Kiel after joining from Dutch Eredivisie side Williem II Tilburg.

The 27 year old striker has signed a three year contract for his new side until the summer of 2025.

An official statement from the German side read: “KSV Holstein signed striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt. The 27-year-old has signed a contract with the Storks until June 30, 2025.”

He begun his football education at the FC St. Pauli academy before moving on to Lüneburger SK and VfL Osnabrück in the summer of 2017 to join the second team at FC Bayern Munich.

Okyere Wreidt was born in Hamburg to Ghanaian parents and played for the Bayern Munich second side where he scored for fun before finally departing to Holland in 2020.

In Holland for Williem II Tilburg, he scored 12 goals in  44 appearances for the team who are now 15th on the Eredivisie table.

At the Bayern Munich second team he scored a staggering 71 goals from 101 matches but failed to get a look in in the senior Bayern Munich team.

"I'm very happy to be back in Germany," Okyere Wriedt told the club's official website after completing the move.

"Holstein has drawn attention to themselves in recent years with their attacking style of play, and they showed impressive football last season”

“So I am very happy to be part of this team now and to have the opportunity to contribute my qualities”

Okyere Wriedt has been capped three times by Ghana.
