The Chinese company in charge of the project, PolyChangda is to begin in April 2020 and complete by 2022.

Meanwhile, measures have been put in place by the hospital’s management to take care of patients in critical condition and bodies at the morgue.

Also, La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) has given the assurance that the local authority is liaising with other health facilities to provide residents with accessible and affordable health services as their closest hospital is under construction.

The staff of the hospital are also being transferred to other hospitals.
The shutdown, according to government is necessitated since the deplorable state of the hospitals makes it unfit for healthcare delivery.
