Matchday 28 of LaLiga Santander has come to an end, meaning it is now time to discover who has made it into the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI.
The star-studded lineup is made up of players representing no fewer than seven different clubs: Athletic Club, Sevilla FC, D. Alaves, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona and Girona FC, with the latter providing the most contributors to the team (three). The standout man is Player of the Matchday, Lionel Messi, who racked up 22 fantasy points, thanks to a stunning display against Real Betis. Iago Herrerin (10 points) gets the nod between the sticks, with the Athletic shotstopper's fine goalkeeping display ensuring the Basque side ran out winners against Atletico Madrid at San Mames.
Herrerin is joined by his teammate Yuri Berchiche and the trio of Daniel Carriço (11), Guillermo Maripan (11) and Marcelo (13), representing Sevilla, Alaves and Real Madrid, respectively.
The midfield is made up of three quality players, in the shape of La Real's Adnan Januzaj (11) alongside the Girona duo of Borja Garcia (11) and Valery Fernandez (12) who were both key in Girona's win over CD Leganes.
The dream trio of Luis Suarez (16), Portu (16) and Lionel Messi (22) is sure to strike fear into the hearts of any defence. The Uruguayan scored one, the Spaniard bagged a brace and the Argentine netted a hat-trick over the weekend, with the deadly attack made up of two Barcelona stars and a Girona fan favourite.
