Late arrival, Technical hitches, Violence mar Shatta Wale's Thanksgiving Service at Mantse Agbona

The much publicized Thanksgiving Service by controversial Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, turned out to be a chaotic scene.

The event dubbed the 'Thanksgiving Service' was organized by the 'Gringo' hitmaker to appreciate God for the year and repay his fans for their loyalty.

However, the event which had a date clash with that of his industry arch-rival Stonebwoy was characterised by several technical hitches and poor planning at Mantse Abgona.

Shatta Wale who was the headlining performer at the concert failed to turn up on stage early to perform on Saturday night.

The concert which was hosted by outspoken Radio/TV host, Afia Schwarzenegger started at 10:15 pm saw fans anxiously waiting for their “Champion” to show up to perform only for him to mount the stage at 3:30 am, a point where the fans were tired of standing for such a long period of time.

The action by Shatta Wale and the organizers of the event ignited anger in the frustrated fans which caused them to act violently as they threw stones, sand, plastic bottles and water at the host.
