According to Il Mattino, Napoli management, if Dries Mertens leaves next summer, are planning to go and sign Italian international striker Ciro Immobile (turning 29 tomorrow, February 20), whose arrival would be a big change, tactics-wise. Lazio hitman is currently on a deal with his parent club until June 2023, and is an item of interest for Tottenham as well, while AC Milan, which tried to bring Immobile in last summer, are unlikely to pursue him again, having filled the first striker department with Krzysztof Piatek and Patrick Cutrone.
