Liberty Professionals recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Karela United at the Carl Reindolf Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Scientific Soccer lads began the league on a stuttering note but turned the corner at some point with fine performances against Ashgold and Hearts of Oak.

But the Dansoman-based have since gone five games without a win coming into this game which left them deep-rooted in the relegation zone.

After a goalless first half, Coach Reginald Asante made a tactical switch at the break that brought Liberty to life early in the second half.

Super sub Alex Ofori Achempong broke the deadlock with his first touch of the game.

The 54th minute turned out to be the only goal in the game as Liberty got back to winning ways.

Liberty climb to 13th on the standings with 12 points while Karela maintain their 5th position with 18 points.
