There is looming danger in the Asawase constituency as an NPP Supporter has been arrested by the Asawase Police for possessing dozens of thum printed ballot papers.

Evidence showed the man unamed voted for the NPP parliamentary candidate who is contesting incumbent NDC MP Muntakar Mubarak.

The action of the young man and his subsequent arrest goes to confirm suspicions and allegations by the NDC that the NPP is up to something fishy.

However Hon. Mubarak has warn that should there be any case of over voting, the party will ask recheck of each serial number on each ballot paper.

He expressed concerns over how the man got those ballot papers with EC stamp.

Meanwhile the NDC has been charging its supporters to get closer to their polling stations to protect their ballots by being vigilant during the counting and following the transportation of the ballots to the collation centre.

At a news Conference a while ago at the Party Headquarters in Accra, the Party’s Director of Elections, Mr.Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the Deputy General Secretary and Deputy Campaign Manager Mr. Peter Boamah Otokunor and the National Communications Officer Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, all called on their supporters to be extra vigilant and demonstrate the vigilance skills they were taken through ahead of the elections.
