Kumawood actress, Tracey Boakye, has said Former President John Mahama has never bought her a car.

Debunking earlier claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer compensated her with a car for her support during the 2016 electioneering campaign, Tracey indicated that she has done to work for Mr Mahama to receive such reward.

“He can’t buy any car for me,” the mother of one said during an interview on OnuaFM.

“I haven’t worked for him. Why does he have to give me a car for commending him? I supported him because of the good works he was doing. I will still support him and if I see that in NPP, I will do same,” she said.

Asked whether declaring her support for Mr Mahama negatively affected her career, she responded in the negative, stating “it has never affected my career in any bad way… it has rather improved my life.”

“I don’t have His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s phone number. The last time I visited his house was in 2017 with some celebrities that campaigned for him…” Tracey said.

According to Tracey, he is closer to Ibrahim Mahama, rather than the former President.

The actress is currently promoting her new movie, “Baby Mama” which premieres on July 25 at the Silverbird Cinema, Accra Mall.
