Dr Sekou Nkrumah has stated since former President John Mahama’s tenure as President was “bad too”, he has no moral right to speak to good governance by criticising the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Son of Ghana’s first President concedes that he agrees with the criticism of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a party but when former President Mahama joins in the criticism, “it feels like a bad taste in the mouth”.

“I agree with most of the criticism the NDC party is throwing at the NPP, but coming from Mahama it feels like a bad taste in the mouth! We were all in this country when his party was in power! Sir, your government was bad too!” He wrote on Facebook post sighted by MyNewsGh.com

His comments seem to be in reaction to John Mahama’s speech at the launch of the NDC’s Manifesto Committee, in which he chastised the NPP for causing hardship for Ghanaians, and reducing Ghana to a sinking ship.

Dr Nkrumah had earlier criticised John Mahama for even running to be the flagbearer of the NDC after leading it to lose to the NPP in 2016.
