President John Mahama has directed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to commence populating the completed, but yet-to-be commissioned Community Day Senior High Schools.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Agona Abodom Community Day Senior High School in the Central Region, he said “I’m instructing the GES to open all the other completed ones — so that children start learning.

“Don’t wait for me to come and commission the schools before you start populating them with children. Go ahead and populate the schools with Children and at the appropriate time when the opportunity presents itself we will come with the chiefs and we’ll commission the schools.

“But, don’t wait for us to come and commission the schools before you start enrolling them with children. You have my permission to start enrolling the children today.”

So far, 123 out of the 200 Community day Senior High Schools are at various stages of completion across the country, said Mahama.
