It is very unfortunate to find Mr. Mahama and his cronies go to play mischief and cruel propaganda against the free SHS programme in our secondary schools.

In most cases lately, we can find ex President Mahama, the likes of Akamba, Sammy Gyamfi and some persons from the campaign team of mahama, in their desperate quest go to some SHS to play cruel and insensitive propaganda against the free SHS programme. A strategy I find disheartening, cheap and a conduct I least expected Mr. Mahama to venture, because, he is stooping so low!

But, I want Mr. Mahama to tell us the merits of these pettiness against the free SHS programme, because as best as I know, the free SHS policy has come as a good to the less privileged child. Or is he trying to confirm the suspicion that, 'the NDC thrives on illiteracy' and hence sees the free SHS as a threat to their political expediency?

Also, if he cares to know, I want to inform him that over 500,000 students in Ghana now are enjoying from the same programme he once benefited from during his time as a student at Tamale Secondary School.

Again, Mr. Mahama must be informed that in just the second phase of the programme, an additional number of 200,000, almost a double of the number which had access to secondary education under his tenure. So, I'd preferred he praised President Akufo Addo rather than his insensitive propaganda against the free SHS programme. So, it becomes really annoying to find Mahama and his cohorts go to these SHSs only to malign this policy by cheaply claiming those schools lack certain basic amenities and hence, blames President Akufo Addo for allowing education to be free.

I do not seem to understand Mahama, because as best as we all know, these schools existed during your tenure as President and so, what did you do to solve these challenges? Or does he want to tell us that, President Akufo Addo has destroyed these basic amenities just by paying the school fees of our less privileged child?

He must know that he spent 8 years at the presidency and it's a shame to him to blame a government which is only 20 months in power over an infrastructure or amenities he should have provided. Sometimes aside looting, I wonder what right Mahama did as a President.

Citing some few examples, I expect him to act like chairman wontumi of the NPP, who provided over 800,000 school uniforms to school kids across the country during the time he, Mr. Mahama was President. It would be best he finds solutions to challenges he should have solved during his time as President, maybe that will give him some gains rather than the cheap stocks of propaganda he seems to play.

I equally ask his to act like the likes of Prof. Alabi, Bagbin and his other contenders who are acting in much maturity and campaigning devoid of such cruel tactics against the free SHS programme.
