A Missouri man who was sentenced to over 30 years in jail for failing to tell six of his sexual partners he had HIV has been released from prison after spending five years behind bars, because an appeals court found his original trial to be 'fundamentally unfair'.

Michael Johnson, now 28, was a black college wrestling star who went by the name 'Tiger Mandingo' on gay dating apps when he was arrested in October 2013 for 'recklessly' transmitting HIV to two men and exposing four others to it.
