Belgian-born Ghanaian winger Jeremy Doku is in doubt for Manchester City's upcoming English Premier League match against Aston Villa due to a potential injury.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has indicated that a last-minute assessment will determine Doku's fitness before the squad is revealed for the Wednesday fixture.

Doku, who arrived in a £55 million summer transfer from Rennes, has had an impressive start at the Etihad Stadium, registering four goals and six assists in 19 appearances across various competitions.

The 21-year-old, renowned for his dribbling skills, was recently honored as Man City's Player of the Month for November.

However, uncertainty surrounds Doku's availability for the Aston Villa encounter after he was substituted in the previous game against Tottenham Hotspur, having experienced an unspecified leg issue shortly after half-time.

Guardiola addressed the situation in a press conference, stating that a decision regarding Doku's involvement will be made following an evaluation of his fitness during training.
