The ex-Bayern Munich star has been told he has no future at Manchester United with Jose Mourinho at the helm.

Bastian has been training with the kids at Carrington training ground, but is not even allowed to play reserve team football, as Jose Mourinho doesn’t want him blocking the development of the club’s U-23 players. It has not been an easy situation for the 2014 world cup winner who arrived at Old Trafford on a three year deal just over 12 months ago for a fee in the region of €9 million (£6.5 million).

Manchester United are reportedly ready to listen to offers for the 32 year old veteran midfielder who has been transfer listed. Schweinsteiger although is aware that he is surplus to requirement has been an absolute professional about his situation and has released a statement today on his official twitter account about his current situation.

He tweeted; “MUFC will be my last club in Europe. I respect other clubs, but Manchester United was the only one which could make me leave Bayern Munich. I will be ready, if the team needs me. This is all I can say about the current situation. I want to thank the fans for the amazing support over the recent weeks.”
