Ghana and Maritzburg Fc goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been advised to choose Orlando Pirates  ahead of any potential move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Steve Lekoelea explains to Ghanaian star Richard Ofori why he should join Orlando Pirates instead of Mamelodi Sundowns next season.

Lekoelea believes Ofori would face tough competition if he signs for The Brazilians next season and should instead speak to Irvin Khoza about a job.

"I will advise him to join Pirates. At Sundowns he will face tough competition," the former Buccaneers midfielder tells KickOff.com.

"At Pirates he has a good chance of playing. I don't even rate that goalkeeper from France [Joris Delle]. Nami ngiyamuhalela [I also wish to take shots against him].

"I used to do that at Pirates when new goalkeepers arrive in the team. I remember that goalkeeper from DRC [Makweni Mayala].

"I asked the guys to give me him for a free-kick. Ngamneka [I beat him on the free-kick]. I told the guys that he was not a good goalkeeper.

"At moment Pirates are struggling with goalkeepers and Ofori could make a good signing."

"There are lots of good goalkeepers there. There is [Denis] Onyango and [Kennedy] Mweene there. Where is he going to play?

Despite recently renewing his contract with Maritzburg for a year,Ofori is continually linked with a move away from the club with his coach Eric Tinkler warning potential suitors that his goalkeeper will not come cheap.

The Ghanaian goalie is highly sought after in the Premier Soccer League as many top clubs are looking to snap him up to man their post.

Already Maritzburg have been looking at potential replacements for Ofori with his compatriot Felix Annan of  Asante Kotoko tipped as his replacement.
