The Black Stars have been left to rue missed opportunities following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kenya in Saturday's 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifier.

It was a poor performance from the four-time African champions, who lacked creativity and squandered several begging chances.

Despite the home team playing with 10-men for the last 25 minutes of the game after Joash Oyango was sent off for hacking down Majeed Waris, Ghana seemed to be lucking ideas upfront as they kept fumbling at the final third.

A first-half own goal by defender Nicholas Opoku proved decisive as Kenya picked their first 3 points from the qualifiers.

Kwesi Appiah’s men have now picked up 3 points from a possible 6 in the race to qualify for Cameroon 2019.
